Introduction

Welcome to our 7-Day Summer Detox Program. We couldn't be happier that you are here and taking a step to improve your health and well-being.

Summer is the perfect time to cleanse your body – to eat cleaner, enjoy summer vegetables, rid your environment of toxins, get active and restart your system! This is an easy 7-day cleanse which will bring you amazing results. I’m talking glowing skin, a cleansed liver, restored energy, deeper sleep and weight balance – because it gets you back on track. 

Think – kindness. Think of this week as 7 days of self-loving. Get ready for a brighter, more brilliant you!

Getting Started

The key to a comfortable cleanse is to ease yourself into it, so we suggest removing these foods from your diet 3-5 days before you begin. In its place are foods that are natural detoxifiers and de-bloaters to help you get the best results. 

Step 1: Eliminate the following for the next seven days:

  • Alcohol

  • Bad fats: trans fats found in vegetable oil oils as well as processed and deep-fried foods

  • Caffeine

  • Cow’s dairy

  • Gluten

  • Processed Foods Processed Foods

  • Red Meat

  • Refined carbs, sugar, and sweeteners

Step 2: Get ready to drink some water! A minimum of 64 ounces of water is required each day. Every morning will begin with a pre-breakfast drink: A large glass of lukewarm water with lemon - this helps to flush out the digestive system and rehydrate the body after it's been resting without food or water for several hours.

Step 3: Keep a diary and take note not only of what you eat and drink but also how you feel emotionally at the end of each day. 

Step 4: A shopping list has been created for you based on the recipes included in your guide. Foods will consist of seasonal vegetables (lots of leafy greens), fresh fruit (berries and green apples are best), gluten-free grains (like quinoa, brown rice, buckwheat), nuts & seeds, high-quality fish, organic eggs and chicken and coconut oil or extra-virgin olive oil for cooking.

Step 5: Join the Facebook Group, First Wave Summer Detox to receive tips and accountability coaching along the way. I will also be conducting a kickoff call when you first begin this program - details to follow in your email. This member group is a safe place to share, connect and support each other and get some loving and perhaps tough support along your journey.

Step 6: Don't forget to check your emails for the kickoff video call. Please be sure to check your spam and accept First Wave Wellness as a safe sender so that you can continue to receive emails from us.

Step 7: Have fun! Don't think of this experience as a dreadful diet but an exciting opportunity to try some new foods and adopt a new way of healthy eating. 

Important Dates to Remember

The 7-Day Cleanse begins Sunday, June 21 with a kickoff call scheduled for Friday, June 19th at 2:00 p.m. I will be sending you reminders about the kickoff call by email and on the First Wave Summer Detox Facebook Group page so be sure to join the group if you haven't already.
